Shaping the minds

Students meditate daily for 15 minutes in their tuition centers. In some villages we conduct the tuition classes in the road due to lack of proper place. Inspite of all such difficulties students come with enthu to learn. This photo is one such example of student's enthusiasm. Daily meditation gives the mind some strength and silence.

NATURE'S RESCUE:

Manure made from cowdung and other wastes by the action of earthworms. These manures will be distributed to poor farmers so that we can atleast save the future generation from the ill effects of food poisoning.

THE VILLAGE'S TEMPLE OF LEARNING:

The newly constructed room and hut in the remote village of poovalambedu serves as a temple of learning. Students come daily and concentrate on their studies for atleast 2 hrs a day.

Medical camp at arasoor village

Arasoor is a remote village located in the minjur taluk of tiruvallur district, tamilnadu. We conducted a one day medical camp on 27/08/2006 with the help of Empathy foundation. Around 130 students in the age group 0-16 got benefitted. Free medicines were distributed. Normally students in villages suffer from worm infections which leads to poor memory, school absentism, abdominal pains, cough, irritability and poor physical/mental development. Antihelminthic drugs such as Albendazole are potential worm killers. Thus, these medical camps plays a very significant role in preventing drop-outs and creating a healthy road for a healthy life.

TECHNOLOGY GOES TO THE TALENTED POOR:

AN Kuppam is a very remote village in Gummidipoondi taluk of tiruvallur district. If you want to go to this village, u won't get a government bus. There is a private mini bus but not very frequent, only 4 trips per day. Imagine!!!
Last month we started a free computer course for the students in AN Kuppam. It is a one month course. Through that we plan to cover all the students of AN Kuppam village. So within 2-3 years all the students will be computer literate in AN Kuppam. We have set up 2 computers in that village. We are indebted to the donors and the volunteers of AN Kuppam for their cooperation. Let it continue...
